Tash & Andy // Wedding

On March the 3rd surrounded by family & friends at Kumeu Valley Estate, Tash & Andy tied the knot after 7 years of dating. Tash is Kirsten's sister & Adam's soon to be sister in law so we were beyond excited to photograph this wedding!

To start the day, the girls were pampered by Julia O'neil Hair & Makeup Artist & her team. Tash & Andy opted for pre-ceremony photos which took place in Taupaki on Andy's parents lifestyle block. The day was full of laughter & was so fun to be a part of!

See if you can spot Kirsty who was in the bridal party as Tasha's Maid of Honour!

Here's some highlights of the day!

What was something special you included in your wedding?

We had a secret aisle song that Andy picked. By making the song a secret, it made that moment extra special & connected us both. We also did worship & communion and had my mother bake our wedding cake.

What ways did you save money?

Setting a budget & sticking to it. This was super important! I also made a to buy list so I didn't just buy random things. We also opted for a weekday wedding which saved a lot on venue costs - no minimum spends!!

Did you have any splurge items?

Photography & Video. We booked a videographer super last minute but it was so worth it.

What was something sentimental and/or personal about your wedding?

We decided to do a father daughter dance. It's not common to have this tradition still but it was important to us & important to my dad. We also had a display table set up with photos of our parents & grandparents on their wedding day and we also included smaller things like for our table decor we included books from my late grandfather's favourite author.

What was most surprising about your wedding day?

They say your wedding day will be really stressful but we felt so relaxed & calm the whole day. Was also such an awesome surprise that we had perfect weather on our day despite there being a storm the whole week before.

Any advice for future brides?

Leading up to the big day when you're feeling stressed, remind yourself that it's just a day! Prepare yourself to take in all the moments of the day. Don't rush through it, stop & look around and take it all in. Just have fun!
