Mass production online stores have become extremely popular places for wedding shopping. From the dress to the lanterns, people are taking the risk and buying online. But today I want to pay honour to some amazing local vendors I came across on my hunt as Maid of Honour for my sisters wedding! It may cost more to buy local but nothing beats home made!
LOVE FROM SEVENTEEN
Wooden Goodies // I stumbled across Love From Seventeen when I entered (and won, yay!) a loop giveaway on Instagram. Ever since then I have been a major fan of Kylie's work & creativity! If you're looking for gorgeous wooden goodies then I highly recommend you check out this store! From cake toppers & table numbers to personalised wooden rounds & signage, seriously this store is a must see! Plus she has the cutest range of children's items too! Check her out on Instagram!
Accessories // Anna Marguerite is a beautiful store full of amazing bridal accessories. What I love about this store is how current & modern the accessories are. Though the pieces are all similar in style, each item is unique and carries it's own beauty. The hair crowns & accessories are definitely the store highlight but the shop also includes stunning belts & delicate garters. With their modernised & tasteful take on the tiara trend our mothers once knew - you can wear a crown to fulfil those inner dreams of your younger self whilst still looking modern & current. Check this store out to add a ethereal and romantic accessory to your wedding look.
A Personal Touch // If you're looking for a modern, wooden guestbook then this store is for you. Seriously in love with the guest books they have available! From wooden puzzle guestbooks to personalised bamboo books in a stunning rustic feel. They love to create personalised & unique projects too which is perfect for those unique designs you're struggling to source! Highly recommend checking out their Etsy store & Instagram for some creative inspiration!
Stationary // A current wedding trend is gold & rose gold foil prints but they can be hard to find & expensive to source from overseas. This local store makes stunning wedding invitations that are seriously Pinterest-worthy. They also do A4 & A3 posters too! This is an awesome option as you can get your favourite quote printed for your wedding & then when it's all over, you have an awesome new decor piece for your home!
Favours // Journey candles is a gorgeous local store based in Wellington that supplies 100% natural soy wax candles. Not only are they a local store but they source all their materials here in NZ too! They sell candles in both wine glasses, milk bottles & fun travel tins. Their candles are perfect for both wedding decor or favours! Not only are the candles gorgeous but the scents also represent an individual country, perfect for travel themed weddings or for bringing in a piece of home for those brides with family based outside of New Zealand. They do bulk orders too!
Men's Accessories // This one's for the groom! When it comes to weddings, the groom seems to always get left out. But not with this store! Stache makes wooden bow ties that are all too adorable. They may not suit everyones style but they carry some serious cool factor & add an awesome statement piece to the groom's attire. The bowties come in two standard shapes that are available in a huge range of types of wood. Plus! They come in kids sizes (cute!) & there is a customisable option. Can't speak highly enough of this quirky, cool store!
Flowers & Favours // Buying wedding favours from overseas sounds good right? Well... until you realise that the shipping costs can be more than the favours them selves. And let's be honest, do you really want your delicate favours in international transit?! ZIMZEE is a local store to buy those cute favours you've been looking for. From cute little potted succulents to coffee beans in a sweet little jar: this store is adorable! Plus it's also a florist so favours & flowers all in one store, perfect!
