The next part of our journey we headed to Barcelona! This was about midway through our trip and we were pretty photo'd out by this point so not as many photos! But it was a great city, great food & great culture! The highlight from this part of our trip had to be the Flamenco Dinner & Show we went to. We were overloaded with a 3 course meal (Paella!) and drinks (Sangria's!) and then the show was seriously so good! Haven't seen anything like it, the passion in the singing & dancing was incredible ! Didn't take any photos... but here's the link if you ever decide to go!
Some highlights! Starting with Kirst & her brother in law Andy going crazy at a lolly store.
La Sagrada Familia - book in advance or you'll miss out on going inside like us haha!
This place is Hospital de Sant Pau, so worth visiting! So fascinating learning the history about this hospital and the building designs and decor is incredible!
Next up we visited Park Guell, the park itself looks pretty cool and is free! The paid part however is what everyone goes for and it is so over priced & is tiny!! Lol so we wouldn't recommend it. The picture below is basically it! Cool but... pretty far out of the CBD for us to bother again if we went back.
And a quick stop at the Mediterranean Sea! Stunning yep, just avoid going to a popular spot or you'll get bombarded by people selling things!
Tapas! So yummy!
And on our last day we stumbled in to one of the massive protests happening in central Barcelona, we left quickly after but man, the atmosphere was electric and full of passion! There was such a unity amongst the people & the synchronised chanting of thousands gave us goosebumps!
That's it for this leg, next up Paris for two nights!
